New Poet Richey ~*Marge Tindal*~ Trust me good people this Florida town will never be the same They held a meeting at City Hall and voted to change the name After the PiP's crew rolled into town We're now officially Florida renowned From this date forward this place will be affectionately known as New Poet Richey~ PiP Florida Meet September 2002 ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Marge: Cute poem! Is this going to be an annual affair? Sounds like it should be. Betty Lou Hebert |

LOL ! MoGirl ... ME as Mayor ? Shucks gal...that's the role I'd planned for YOU ! I'll be Marge-In-Mayoral-Charge only if you insist ... With the poet's vote perhaps we'll give it a new twist The Florida voting system let's us 'fudge' the outcome We can ALL be in authority with just a flip of the (middle digit) but for rhyming I'll say thumb~ Thanks to all you friends for enjoying this little Floridian's play with words~ We were in Port Richey and there's a 'New Port Richey' but for the life of us ... we couldn't find 'OLD Port Richey' ! (but heck ... we couldn't find much of anything else either !) Well ... except for WalMart and Denny's ! They have LOTS of those ... or we just kept going 'round in circles ! I wanna go back ... !!! MarshaLove, Kethry and Krissy will be back here in DeLand next Wednesday ! WAHOO !! We just can't resist another visit together~ Titia ... Bill and I wish you were coming back too !!! Maureen ... you too ! Bill sends *HUGS* too~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

New poet Richey with you as the mayor what fun that would be They won't have a prayer All of the gentlemen raised in the town would give up the ghost when you came around We'd raise all the taxes and make merry hell no sleeping in stackses with you there to tell but consideration to the title is tossed who would we turn to if we all got lost. We know New Port Richey and Port Richey knows us and where else but Denny's would they make a fuss So sorry my darling your plan cannot be we came we invaded and changed history But such an occasion is never enough so keep New Port Richey for poets are tough. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
