Gentle Calm Beyond past shadows a dream Covered with a veil of butterflies Drenched from rain of rainbow's colours The blisters are many, feet so small seems The winds have passed, the memories return From the cool to the chill, seasons of sun Wanting to be touched, of love, so real Besides a silhouette, so sad, so frail Utters not, gently accepting, calm The stars, vigilant, as moons re-appear Sounds of owls, fronds of palm Begging to be held, taken from fear Each fall, another attempt to stand Each bruise, calling for comprehend He wonders, once again, how silent Seeking his gentle calm, one more moment. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love |

Daniel...I really enjoyed this poem and its flow. It can have many different meanings, but I look at it as one being sad because of the past and then finding inner peice and happiness in their later years...Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (09-30-2002 04:21 AM).] |

"Each fall, another attempt to stand Each bruise, calling for comprehend" These words especially touched me. And the imagery here, "butterflies Drenched from rain of rainbow's colours" is unique, and beautiful. |

"butterflies Drenched from rain of rainbow's colours" What a beautiful line Daniel. Well done. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... |
