Leaving Day As I get older You will no longer see The child inside of me here I stand in an older land No don't get older I can just hear them say those words I cannot let you go now to a place not yet known I know what I am doing I can see where I am headed I will be free from harm and believe me I won't break an arm you need not anticipate until you sit and wait give me a moment to live, to learn, to love |

Sounds like you getting ready to cut loose, careful it's a big world out here. Liked the poem I'm not real good a critiques, but it's got a good form, ya know, reads good and looks good on the page too |

Don't take any wooden nickles. lol. Your poem is nice and made me reflect a little on that day some 23 years ago. Just a thought to share. You are NEVER free from harm. |
