In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-09-29 01:46 PM

Floating in gray, stone skies
spread out    to shadows

dark night     falls

I probe dreams with black fingers;
  swim across deeper rivers
landing on   lost shores

Searching for    time    in

half    finished walls
for more peace  --  I  inhale

empty earth  patting the mound

still     I     watch it  crumble

stone by stone, grain by grain--
listen    in     rains evening
tapping--tapping    the windowpains’

                   Shades of blue play:

I remember, we spoke of memories
             your abuse affected my smile
I didn’t know:    I cried in learning, life’s gentle hands

You took her freedom

    batted love in  single strokes
         she loved you, god knows why,
you hated,       {the same breath I still feel}
I want to speak those words, but love
is  greater…..yetdon’t speak softly my name,
I will not listen---my ears deaf  {to you}

      How could you not love us?
How could you  leave ?

         Shades of blue play: tender seasons

My  innocense died, floating past hallways,
echos  of a sun, never rising in the west

staining glass           in

Wednesday's house

~~~~~~
I need some distraction
...oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
(big hugggssssss) Oh Lauren, this is soooooo hauntingly beautiful, sweet friend, I can feel the cries of lost innocence here and I hope all is alright now and no more stones are thrown at this stained glass house! (sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
Lauren,
Bless you for looking back. Well done.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
The misspelling of "Wednesday" as "Wedsenday" adds to the child-like innocence of this work.
Thank you.
... indeed, indeed. on the surface, this is a breathtaking collage of painful, bittersweet memories bleeding into loss. but i see something glittering beneath the surface as well, a metaphor for a life extended through your clever phrasings.
this is one i'll have to revisit.
