standing on a shadow's lace

Thin Ice

tonight
I skate
on
thin ice
with
dull blades
will they
suffice
and I
am nowhere
near
the shore
and
with all
this slipping
what
am I
standing
for

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

Hey you...I wrote one similar, with one of my favorite songs in mind--by Jethro Tull, and this IS pure poetry, as is your mindset of the same subject:

smiles to ya, Helen.
