Could the Morning?

Could the morning be a dawning
of the effervescent kind?
Could it challenge and entice me
with thoughts to spur my mind?

Could the wispy gray clouds
merely be a cooling spot
to weave tales of mystery,
if I but give it thought?

Could the humid bits of air
serve to cleanse the hour’s palette,
washing away dust and pollen
and all odors of shallot?

I suppose it’s like most days
to be just what we make them,
a tale of woe and misery
or an iridescent gem.

(The use of shallot is not merely a forced rhyme, we really do have hours of onion smells permeating the air, often.)

Wow! Seems like I've been away from here for a long time. But I'm back this morning for a while.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Me, too, Bob.
Good to see you here, I'm going to look again for one of yours. I haven't spotted one lately.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

VAS,
A lovely write but what you say is true
"I suppose it’s like most days
to be just what we make them."
Thank you for posting, enjoyed.

(smiles) Oh Virginia, I couldn't agree with you more, sweet friend, I know these aromas so well and believe they are all part of what makes the variety offered to us all! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You're absolutely right on with this write!

Our attitude can cloud our day!--but with a positive attitude, we can see the sun shining even if it is temporarily hidden by dark clouds.
