Scrubbing #1 Scrubbing the floors has become a chore Get the bucket with hot soapy water My but it is much heavier than before I've spilled it and must hurry for sure Anyone know where I put that mop It's gone so down on my arthitic knees So much fun you say to scrub and sop Oh dear I've created more great seas The room has grown to abnormal size Wring bend strech wipe almost to the door Water everywhere more when I start to cry I'm almost done scrubbing the bathroom floor Scrubbing #2 I've made another startling find today You guys can close your eyes please First to decide on shower or tub to lay But wait I'll find the bathroom keys The tub won now figure how to get in It's getting slippery than before use care I want bubbles right under my double chin Dim the lights to cut all that body glare My arms don't reach as far as they used to I found places that weren't there before When I got this other body I haven't a clue Just like a whale stranded on the shore Scrubbing #3 My mind needs a good scrubbing I decided The cobwebs have moved from the corners Too many unused creative ideas that were hid I'll put then to use in new clean quarters Bright thoughts to replace the dull and dark A new outlook on the future to disspell the dust Not just a place for memories and ideas to park But a haven for rebirth of ideas a must [This message has been edited by Mother_Earth (09-25-2002 10:58 AM).] |

I loved this! Absolutely loved this! So much truth to this write---but your sense of humor comes shining through---and it's contagious! God Bless You! EA |

Earth Angel, I have to laugh at myself. I used to look at myself through other's eyes, but now it is me who does the looking. Glad you liked this, ME |

Excellent read. Thanks Mom. I guess I relate coz I suffer from arthritis and cannot even get down on my knees. Oh, how I wish I could scrub the darned floor. I am a little concerned that one day I shall meet a real cool lady and want to propose. Any suggestions? I guess one becomes content with one’s poetry when one opens the book ten years hence and does NOT exclaim, “Did I really write this?” |

(smiles) Yay!!! And may you always clear the cobwebs away and soak up joy and hope like a sponge and make your smile clean! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! ME, you are a hoot. Let's see we have Mother Earth scrubbing and Earth Angel doing laundry. Guess you two have it covered for cleanliness. I just roared with this....Hugs, Marti Every now and then take a good look at something not made |
