The First Autumn Leaf The first autumn leaf Stained red and orange and brown Breaks of from it's branch And begins it's fall to the ground It swirls in the last Summer breeze A crinkly ship without a sail And in the distance is heard A mournful bird's wail "Time to leave," it cries, "The first autumn leaf has begun it's fall! Before we animals know it, Snow and ice will blanket all!" Hearing the bird's warning A squirrel quickly counts it's nuts Hoping that through the cold winter His collection will be enough A bear, fat and furry Crawls into his cave and curls up tight Knowing that, until spring wakes him, This will be his last look at light A mother glances down at her son Safe within her hold And bundles him up extra tight The days are growing cold The first autumn leaf comes to rest It's spiral descent finally done The animals bid farewell to Summer For now, Autumn has come |

Spring........I love spring. And Autumn. And Winter. And Summer.  So, you could say I like all the seasons. *lol* |
