An hour holds the gobble of my selfishness the sick sweet stare and curl that bends me sideways softly. I am not alone. There is an allowance for the longing the slow cries, the folding ache and there is an outstretch of understanding. And I am not alone. I half choke the violence into letters crease the impact center straight and my redness bleeds the staining still. I lay reasons and part summaries across the arms of stale, outdated furniture and I deserve (as she once said) the notice, the friendship full. So I leave often, curving in wonder sliding in what should have been said and I am not alone. No. |
