When, when will I know? Will there be a warning, a tap on one’s shoulder lightly... softly, enough to stir one from sleep as eyes flutter and a smile awakes the face to sigh.. Will I feel the warmth of you over me settling ever gently upon me..... As a moan escapes my lips... And your lips capture me.. Embrace me... Trace me softly at the day’s break until the shadow of us dances upon walls in echoes of light’s dark silhouette.. Stop only when the flame dies... When our embers become ash upon the hearth of our love |
