In the spaces lay vague the unaltered
Fortune tells of the dregs where fate faltered
Camelot in the skies over heard
And recounted each innocent word

In the clouds of occasional chatter
Murmured once to see what was the matter
Castle high to know why in revision
And continued to meter decision

In the same frame of mind are the masses
Finding what in the world promise passes
Can we now reach across this division?
And heal quickly such unjust precision

In the spaces and crevices swallowed
Frantic steps to find pathways once followed
Camelot in the skies over heard
And made promise to carry each word

Camelot in the skies over heard
And made promise to carry each word
Would it be so. Enjoyed

Kathleen...this is wonderful..
My most favoured poetry is about Camelot.
This is a beauty!
Into my library it goes.

Kathy,  could this be of the church and
the problems it faces?  Anywhooo...it is
a beautiful poem and the semi-repetition
of certain lines adds to the flow of the
poem...Nicely done lady...

I love your writing here, Kathy...
The references to Camelot remind me of the song... which in turn, reminds me of Jack and Jackie Kennedy...
I will have that song in my head all night now.
Thanks for sharing this.

and made promises to carry each word

love the feel of that ending, superb!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Nice feelings, here, after this read

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
