And Breath Eludes Me When I think of all the beautiful things I've seen, the wonderful sounds I've heard, all the gentle things I've touched… I think of you, and breath eludes me - a gasp held deep inside so my heart can breathe. When your eyes touch mine, I want to fill your heart with passion, fan the fires of desire, surround your soul with love beyond reason, and whisper I love you… as if that was the first sound you'd ever heard, as if the words were created for you alone. When I think of all the beautiful things I've seen… the wonderful sounds I've heard… the gentle things I've touched… it's the heart, the soul of me seeing a vision of you, and breath… eludes me. w. james beard, jr. . |
