Ten small paintings by Victor Hartmann inspired Mussorgski to write corresponding piano pieces. Later, Ravel fully orchestrated Mussorgskis' work. Here, I undo all that was done, before. i. The Gnome Undone toward ugly Squalid in his squat Gluttonous Goblin jaws Crack and crush Shell from meat But not to eat ii. The Castle Storied stones in stack Forming fortress keep Ivied tendrils drill tenacious To pry, Phlox clad blocks Mortar mortal lost to dust Rain seeping, dark staining Staid hall walls Yet, still stands This sentry of Centuries iii. The Tuilleries Sud l’Arch, There stands a parc Awash in hues Of disparate views Children scatter Squealing pratter To meet in fray Then run away Le Jardin Du Catherine Offers respite cool To desperate fools iv. The Ox cart The creaking groans Of worn wood, drones The laborious road Of rut and stone To pull the load Through mud and moan ~wranx In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward". |

One man's art is another man's feelings...you've undone nothing, Wranx, you only gave me sight of what I have not beheld, before... |

I think this is a POV piece and I love another's point of view. You see more clearly than most. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Excellent, Ed! tackling a series like this must be hard but rewarding Like the way each poem is not only about the subject (from yourpoint of view) but also "sounding" the ear is engaged as well on to the rest....... |

I could echo everyone here, but I wish to especially echo Brian Sites...the sounds were so enjoyable as we passed each view with you. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

(smiles) Oh Wranx, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I love this unique series of yours as artwork can give us all many random feelings and you speak of your perceptions so wonderfully! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wranx, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
