Upon the face a few wrinkles that last for a bit upon the corner of a smile The smile that whispers a quick hello at the sun making the day so splended When we fall over ourselves to see how blue the sky can be, even now As the tears gently trip our hearts confusion, madness the slight sense of wonder By all acounts we should fall down on our knees and bless the ground But why? Why fall? To look around at one another, to hold onto hope and love To fail to give into fear that pushes you over the last edge of emptiness To sing to the sun, letting its healing burn replace the heat behind you To say your goodbye's, to those you love those who called you freind, and those that came before To walk the final step letting the wind capture you, as you dance with the stranger, holding your hand Letting your freedom stand. |
