Quilt Of Me I am folded under a quilt of me hope woven within repaired and torn dreams blended edges sewn at all directions of angles connected with whip-stitched thoughts and mended feelings cut against the grain lines crossed and knotted from pieces to new found solid all threads lace tied flowing from the edge to the center of me [This message has been edited by 1slick_lady (09-12-2002 03:00 PM).] |

You always use marvelous metaphor....and smiling at the analogy, because, it is the antique quilt that is the most desirable to collectors...and? I think they are more beautiful knowing that they have kept someone warm... gracious writing Helen...and a lovely pattern of thought here. Thank you. |

Yes Helen, you have stitched well...and a challenge well done..I know I for a fact can not do this better, not on my life.. I had a quilt once, not sure where it still is.....that had the names of all the members of our family stitched into it... for about 3 or 4 generations....I wish I knew where it is/was... |

I usually have a little trouble understanding free verse poetry (rocks in head). But this is so easy to follow and visualize. Thanks for sharing it with us. No one ever listened themselves into trouble. |

Loved it. Seems I don't know this challenge...not being around has anything to do with that I'm sure...my wife quilts a bunch...hmmm, lots of meandering I'm doing, huh... enjoyed, my friend. jwesley |

I liked how this metaphor unravels, lovely poem. Too early for the rainbow, too early for the dove These are the final days, this is the darkness, this is the flood |
