Sybil’s Reflections

Then in its face
of mirror on mirror
leveling the weight of soul
reflections shoot me
past the goal

            What manner is soul,
          or how in mirror seen?
Does unmasking make it real
       or do ripples falsify the
             eye to some appeal?

For eyes have looked within the mirror
To see what may be more than clear
To look beyond the falsest hue
To see within the real of you
As page is turned from sheet to sheet
Where all seems fact though fiction’s treat
I weigh the lay of silver’s sway
And still I write to right what may
Stem the tide
                                  Ease the ride
                                                                         Bring the slide

To the silvered mirror’s side.

This was very cleverly presented--- effective visually and conceptually!

Enjoy your "reflections"

Welcome, Sybil. I like the mirrored portrait, and the striving to reach into the silvered backing that holds the real.

such a nice poem...pleased to see you here

Sybil...I do like your style...
If by chance my friend, you
care...

Care to write as two with flair.

Wish to share words written twice

Wish to combine what is so nice.

Join me in a trek into the realm

of visions surreal and never grim.

For ladies of mystic touch can be

A partner in write twice, not three.

I have seen your poetry elsewhere and know
you are quite capable of the task...care
to join, my friend...

Hi Sybil

You reflect a mirror of words
once heard

on and on into the room
a crowd of you

Much enjoyed your poem...welcome!

Sorry I missed your introduction. A belated welcome. The mirror, it's necessary light keeps us here, the soul, a shadow beckons us beyond this.
