The towers were falling
How many more suicide planes?
Air controlers were calling
Divert to Canadian lanes

So many people on the ground
In those small northern towns
People came from all around
Crowded rooms with happy sounds

No one had to ask for their aid
Such a great out pouring of charity
People meet and friendships were made
God bless this act of kindness

We often forget our friends to the north
We take their friendship for granite
When we were in need they came forth
Good neigboors helping in our benefit

Yes, it's pretty fantastic how much we really are sisters and brothers.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Paladin, a wonderful note of thanks to your Canadian friends to the north.
I don't think it was so much an act of pity but one of brotherhood...
we were/are all in this together.
God Bless America...God Bless Us All.

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too thank all our wonderful neighbors of the north, our father-country the United Kingdom, and all our other friends across the world for their support during this tough time, God Bless You and America and everyone, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Robert, thank you for sharing!

May love and light alway shine upon you!

We have several Canadian members of PiP...I know quite a few of them through their poetry and their sharing...and for them, may I say, the world is a much better place.

Paladin---and a very heartfelt "thank you" to you, from your Canadian friends! This was an incredibly sweet and sensitive poem, recognizing the friendship between our two countries.

What hurts you---makes us cry! And many tears have been shed by your friends to the north.

God bless you all!

A moving thankyou note indeed.

We would do it again especially if it meant that lives would be possibly saved.  I heard a friend talking about Gander today.  Small Town, large airport, an international stop over point, passengers diverted there were taken into homes to wait out the air traffic freeze.  I more than likely happened other places like that too.

God Bless America

Since that day we have become more then nieghbours. We have become one, not only us but the world.

A truely moving poem and we are always here for our nieghours our brothers and sisters in this world.

You are a good poet as soon as you try to reach others with your words.
You are a great poet when those same words touch your heart first.

paladin - I believe that there are no borders when it comes to brotherhood or sisterhood. We should always be there for each other. Well written piece. Chris
