I was on I-95 on that day Virginia I believe or some other place. Thoughts are hazey placement not real there was I when forced to deal, with a tragedy beyond any I'd known I felt at once completely alone. Reports trickled through a radio voice certainly not the way I would have by choice, heard the news that life was changed most reports quite wrong and some even strange. What I saw on the day what I wish to convey forgive if I stray from verse just to say, I saw men that day stand still in time. I saw men rush to phones to call home with tears in their eyes. I saw men who with no family to call, no loved ones to share the grief of it all, openly weep and reach to each other. Strangers who now felt more like brothers. I heard men on the CB with horror convey what was happening to our world on that day. All of them displaced, away from their homes, sobbing and crying out there on the road. Within the walls of truck stops all across this land, men, grown men, were taking each others hand and mourning the loss of America that day. I saw all of this upon that day. I came away changed in my feeling about men. How could I not after seeing this then? We sometimes forget that within each human being is a heart, a heart, with tenderness beating. Whether woman or man, it matters not really, still they felt, they cried, they touched while grieving. God Bless all the men who travel life's road some quite alone while carrying the load God Bless you I say out there on the way we're with you in spirit on this very sad day. Well done. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Anne, this is so very true, I too went to school early in the morning that day and listening to the radio had me shattered to tears, and I heard faint sobs in the voices and helicopters flying everywhere, and it scared me so much because my dad was flying to New York that same afternoon and I was so relieved his flight was cancelled! (wipes tears) God Bless You, sweet friend, you have atrue angelic golden heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton (God Bless America) "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."
