Oh Lyra, I'm not familiar with the challenge but I love this so very much, I love birds of all kinds and the egret looks so cute in the picture as your gorgeous words depict its loveliness so well! WOW! Loved the poem but of course I want to know about the birds  are they big, where do they come from, where do they go? I have never seen one, looks like a stork of some kind or is it smaller? LOL, see what you get for being so darn smart?The most valuable thing you own is a smile, wear it, and share it. |

Thanks for your reply, Noah... There are three "E" challenges. One in which you have to write a poem with no E's in it... one in which each word has to begin with an E, and this one, in which there has to be an E somewhere in every word. Its lots of fun... I hope that your brownouts are over now because I have missed you.... Summer is almost over and then we won't have to worry about them for a while....hopefully. Thanks Sharon.... There are many different kinds of egrets...but I think the one in the picture was probably a snowy egret. I've seen several of those around this neck of the woods. They like to hang out in swamps and reeds. They are about 2 feet tall, standing...I'm not sure of the wingspan... and they are related to the herons... I guess thats all I know about them, so I'm not so smart afterall. I do know, however....that they don't deliver babies.  ~ hugs with laughterLyra |
