Why do I post a poem? To see it soar to the top? To have a million replies? To see how many days it stays on page one? No I write and post to let my heart out For only through poems can my true hearts feelings be read I don’t need replies , I just need to touch someone I post to reach and touch those who need it To just post some words is not enough The words must flow from the heart and the muse Poetry is great , but great poetry comes from deep within It is a true labor of love , and when just one is touched It is then and only then a pure and true poem You are a good poet as soon as you try to reach others with your words. You are a great poet when those same words touch your heart first. [This message has been edited by Mystic Mystron (09-10-2002 09:01 PM).] |

are not all poems destined to one day touch somebody? long after we die, they remain! It is wonderful to feel you helped somebody feel better with what you write as much as it is to let those feelings out there and make yourself feel better. Life is a lonely journey to, and a heavy-hearted departure from three words. I LOVE YOU |

Wonderful and oh so true heart-felt write Wilfred. I write with the hopes of touching one other soul out there... maybe connecting and making them feel better. ..or for them to realize they aren't alone. Enjoyed this so much.... Keep the magic touch! ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~ Time has cast a spell on you |

Here here!! Well said, and the only reason to write poetry...for oneself, to write our feelings. If others enjoy it, then that is just the icing on the cake. But I do believe that we all write for ourselves ultimately, to express our feelings. You can never win or lose |

![]() ![]() ![]() (big hugggssssss) Oh Wilfred, this is so heartfelt and couldn't of been said better! Sometimes I get many replies, sometimes very few, but what is most important is that I am happy with what I write and I truly am, as every poet should feel happy! (smiles) Also, I love to comment, and it's not because I'm in a race, but because I just want everyone to know how special their work is, and that is why I write this special comment to you! (sigh) You are a wonderful writer, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wilfred, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Very well done sir. To write anything but how we truly feel from our heart is like a line from a song I remember "we're only fooling ourselves" I write to please myself first and if by chance my words touch another in a positive way then I have achived 2 goals.
