To Lori This love is not a windup toy of talk and feel, a silver key suspended from neck to verse in kneel. Nor a storm of lightning gyrating the heat, a rain in swelling sighs beating down the street. This love is not a stream wending through the clear, a water surface mirror flowing through the years. Nor a snowstone mountain climbing to the sky, avalanched commitments sliding down your eyes. This love is not a flower burning in a fern, a sigh of fragrance moved, a sight of beauty learned. Nor a cloud-capped spire reaching to sun's flare, pointing at its heat, its insistent stare. This love is not a novel read to write the sea. Our love is in one look shared by you and me. |
