Are There Shadows? are there shadows in the world where once lives had been are there shadows are there shadows in the morning, commuters rose stock routine met the day little knowing, post the dawning, they’d soon be going away a stop light a train whistle a honking horn business as usual that September morn drop Johnny at school, “Good-bye” to little Sue, push the elevator button as you always do all hopes and aspirations rose into a rising mist in steam they were carried or was it smoke in the list, those two great towers, that rose as emblems, crumbled to the breaches where they’d been given birth dreams and visions, beneath paper confetti and steel shredding each element, in our mourning, might we heal? ©August 11, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Those are some sad shadows. Hopefully, they have found a safe haven to rest now. |

Yes, profoundly sad shadows that will take a long while to heal for a wound that deep must heal from the inside out. Thank you both for you words. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
