Such a loss incomprehensible Feelings simply like no other Husbands, wives and children Maybe a sister or a brother They are never to be forgotten Those events of that terrible day The dust took so long to settle The sun struggled to shine a ray Blank faces walked the streets So was the depth of their despair Their lives plunged into darkness So thick with smoke was the air Many souls cried out helplessly But so many were never heard Mass confusion and hysteria Most unable to speak a word The events of September 11 Are etched firmly in our minds A day of disbelief for many A holocaust for all mankind Each day we all now savour Our world will never be the same This was not some Hollywood movie Or a fictitious computer game We will never fully recover From the images that we saw Now we all must stand united As our countries go to war I reach out my hand of friendship As we close our eyes and pray And remember those who perished On that dark September day I am in motion I am blue Love is an ocean I'm anchored in you - Shawn Mullins [This message has been edited by Suetang (09-09-2002 07:39 PM).] |

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, we are all so blessed to have you and so many others reach out to America from around the world, as we all share these tears together, as well as the hope and colors of freedom and love! (big hugggssssss) You are a true angel, sweet friend, your love and compassion is golden, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton (God Bless America) "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Sue: Beautiful, caring poem and thanks for posting it. The memories are as painful today as the real event was a year ago. Betty Lou Hebert |
