Sometimes the quiet of the day
slips past us unaware

taking silent steps behind
hoping for a moment to share.

To share the sounds of nature
the cries, the sighs, the calls.

Animals and wildlife
sensed amongst the all.

Silence undisturbed.
Silence felt, not heard.

I listen in the silence
of this our quiet world.

Not only do I "listen in silence", there are times when I enjoy complete quiet, where I can listen to the silence.
