In The Shadows

I lay here in the shadows of what once was you and me
Now I will no longer feel pain...finally I am free
I look deep inside, at the person that I've become
Look at where I'm going...and from whence I've come from

My skies have always held the rain, I use to think it was meant to be
That was before I turned it all to Him...and just believed in me
The walls I built have now crumbled, and though my love for you is true
