HANDFUL OF CHOICES Death in one hand--Life in the other Wish I knew someone who could show me the way to STOP the PAIN that chips away my heart and soul. What is right?--What is wrong? CONFUSION-- EMPTINESS Echo in my mind sound descisions pass me by -- clues left lying around for all to see. I scream for help. I can cry out loud. But why? What will it do for the pain inside? This small problem to you is overwhelming my mind! I wish I could suck it up inside but I am not you and the pain will not subside. The choice rest in my hands--Right choice is a portable phone--The left is a .38 Loaded and cocked. - - - - RING - RING - UH, Hello? This was written after hearing a 17 year old state how he had no choices left in his life because his girlfriend got pregnant. To young people all problems seem to large to solve. |

WOW! This made me sit up straight that's for sure. You are right, small problems loom large when you are a teenager. A great write about a very real problem. |
