Methodology Methodology grew me a corn. Sheered me of shoes and slippers were born Gave me a cane to suede me with aid Powdered my eyes to make flowers fade. And rickety rack a pain in my back As I lay on a bed made like a rack Shooting arrows straight at the moon To bring back time of loving and spoon My Dragon is old and will not fly And pleads with me, let old dragons die No matter the offer no matter the play There comes a time there’s no other way. But to me he’s a lazy old thing Lost his fire and lost his sting He whimpers that he’s not a dove And cannot carry me, to my love. What use is a dragon without fire? He’s turned me into a big old liar. |

I don't believe that dragon is done just yet He's the coolest dragon that I've ever met So he's not as randy as he used to be ... its of no matter ... he's still dandy to me. There comes a time when we retire the fire ... we trade it in for admire and higher level of inspire. We learn we don't need to snort, smoke and bellow with sage of age we burn with a dignified mellow. The fire is replaced with wisdom's grace time slows the pace with its promised embrace. So we stop to smell the roses and chase the butterflies we realize the prize is born in each new morn's sunrise. Your dragon knows the Zen behind your autumn's amen ... To begin again ... you need only to pick up your poets pen. ~*~ me thinks you two make for one damn impressive team ... and me thinks that dragon just needs some Raspberry tea and a few winkies. *L* |

JM, You are my delight of the day. And I'd have it no other way. You say the most outragious things A butterfly that really sings. And I'll try the raspberry tea And if it works he will fly me. Straight to our gardens fantasy. WWRS |

Seymour Hi there, your writing is excellent do you know that? You have the ability to write the thought so beautifully. This is simply perfect in its flow and style, and this poem describes the feeling so well. Do you have any idea how special and brilliant your writing is? I see in your writing how a writer of heart can be a writer of magic I watch your quill unfold such wonder and I’m awed. I know I’ll never be the caliber of writer you are You aren’t old my friend not while you can write as well as this, because your pen speak to me I can’t wait till September, I am so looking forward to meeting you, I’m so excited the anticipation is wonderful, prepare to be hugged mercilessly. As always Krissy And while thy willing soul transpiers |

A man was never not ever born that time does not leave a little worn but solid memories, this is so true we wouldn't have them, if not for you... |

Seymour darling heart, so she’s outdone me has she? Mmmmm we’ll see about that, I can’t have her waltzing off with all the best poets can I? You’re not old there’s still much time For life to flow and your sun to shine The sands of time will not run away Not while your pen writes words of play If you are old then the stars don’t glow There’s no magic in poetry’s flow If you are old then birds don’t sing And the Mona Lisa isn’t worth anything The sun doesn’t hang in the sky And Superman is an ordinary guy You can’t grow old not while you write For in your words age holds youth’s light Marsha I love your writing Seymour it is truly perfect, so melodious and brings such a soft smile to my soul. Where would I be without my daily gift of Seymour’s delight? Lost that is where, I love it utterly utterly Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire Thy coolness and they balm Let sense be dumb let flesh retire Speak through the earthquake wind and fire [This message has been edited by Marsha (08-16-2002 12:24 PM).] |

SY, this is a lovely poem, though a little sad. Yet even in it's sadness it flowed smoothly as all your poems do. Even the thread of responses you brought about is wonderful to read. |

You left your candy dish within my reach so scrumptious was the one that I bit. Your wonderful words of wisdom within in a corner of my mind will always sit. You are the fire that ignites knowledge's flame without you we could not do without, so give that dragon a big dose of Geratol and kick his behind - that lout! Oh Sy, you are a delight for these old eyes! That little response was so bad LOL. The most valuable thing you own is a smile, wear it, and share it. |

Flames can sear and burn out of control Leave our hearts empty and bruise our soul But with maturity comes a glowing torch That serves to warm instead of scorch The coals may be banked, but heat radiates And the love that's returned, our yearning sates. This is beautiful, Seymour. *S* As you can see, the sad tone woke up my fingers with thoughts that the flash fires of youth aren't necessarily better than the hearth fires of a full life. *S* |
