Popinjay At times I feel a popinjay In a supercilious way For spreading sage upon the bread Of saying things that I have said Who really knows the truth of things? Or hears the song another sings. Each melody a song of one And will not stop until it’s done. In fact I’ve trouble with my own I hear it in a monotone. And often send it to the sky To paint it like a butterfly There, it hears a hum of views Whispered in the wind in hues That washes me in gyres suds To bubble off the mires mud. So do not try to rein the band We are the music draining sand. Hey, Toerag! Finally found your pic! [This message has been edited by Seymour Tabin (09-04-2002 09:24 AM).] |

What a lovely way to wake up…I’m hearing the birds singing along with you Sy. I for one, would never try to rein the band, for we all have something to say. And the more voices that surround us, the more beautiful is the melody. You can never win or lose |

Sy "Who really knows the truth of things? Or hears the song another sings." If anyone does, you do...or close enough to inspire as you always do. |

can't recall what a popinjay is, but you're feeling as if you're one, then it must be a good fun kinda thing/being enjoyed this poem and all the comments, too! Toerag's an adorable creature, I certainly wouldn't have thought him to be that blue, but that mischeviously looking, YES! Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

I never saw a popinjay for one who knew would always say as for the gyre's ire you may leave me reeling any day your words of grace can lift me high and leave me with a taste for Sy. Keth Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
