~Opposite Threads~

The big moves are always yours
your steely arms carry the weighty boxes
and I dress them fancy
in delicate fingered paper and ribbon

We are
an adoring antithesis
you are numbers...I am words
you are analytical... I am fanciful

a balanced equation of opposites
our dots, ever connected
by loving stroke of pen

you navigate the menacing highways
with bravado
yet it is I, who parallel park with grace
deftly maneuvering into cramped confines
on narrow city streets

We are
a symmetry of contrasts
yet our flavors harmonize
you are sweet...I am spice

you texture my polished surface
with grain and grit
and I burnish smooth
your rough hewn edges

Together
We are
a flawlessly woven tapestry
an intricate web of opposite threads
silk and hemp
satin and wool
intertwined
forever

My love for him is magical... as is his for me...
and the funny thing is, that when I met him, I was so proud of being independant. I thought I didn't need anyone...but I loved him at first sight.
I think an angel must have sent him to me because I don't know what I would've done without him for the past 2 yrs.
