I bounced around from job to job just tryin' to find my niche
Hopin' there was some way in this world to make me rich.
My eighth-grade education had me well-primed for success
And I was sure I'd have the very best and nothing less.

I tried a hundred jobs or so that didn't work out well.
My expertise and their requirements didn't seem to gel
But, finally, I found the job that I've been looking for...
I'm the super dooper pooper scooper at the local PetSmart store!!!

I'm the super duper pooper scooper at the local PetSmart store.
I am the man with mop in hand the customers adore.
I check the aisles for brand new piles that weren't there before..
I'm the super dooper pooper scooper at the local PetSmart store!

You know the pet store that I mean, where folks can take their pets
And I'm sure you can visualize how messy that place gets!
When cats and dogs hear nature call their actions are not subtle
And they are not concerned on where they leave a pile or puddle!

As soon as they lift up a leg, I take off in a run
My nose sniffs out the area where evil has been done.
The fastest mop in fifty states cleans up the mess and then
I'm off to do my valiant work again...again...again.

The customers all love me and my boss thinks I'm the best.
I'm good at doing all the things that other folks detest.
As long as I keep that floor dry I never will be poor....
I'm the super dooper pooper scooper at the local PetSmart store.

What did I do wrong?  Did I make a comment
earlier that brought you out of hiding?
Should I retract any words that might cause
you to write a crappy poem, all watered down
with puddles....  Where is Toe when I really
need him?

Thanx Michael...this almost put me in tears

I KNOW YOU ! I too work the PetSmart store,
but the birds are what I clean.
A feather here, a feather there,
some are nice and some are mean.
I'll have to say you do your job well,
No wonder our boss is pissed.
He gave me holy hell,
for feathers that I had missed.
So Mr Super Dooper, while you're
patting yourself on the back.
What is it that I'M finding hidden

’Deer dearest heart, I’m on the phone to Krissy this very minute, it’s 1:00 am here. I heard a bump and called out are you okay and she squeaked at me tell ‘Deer I just fell off the settee.

She loves it, she works for PetSmart she really does, which is why she keeps trying to saddle me with bunnies every week. No its true honestly, it is, she is laughing herself into an epi there. calm yourself my darling daughter

I must agree with her though this is so incredibly funny, you are a brilliant writer and always make me laugh out loud. Excellent writing, absolutely excellent, I love it utterly utterly.

Krissy says its one of your best and do you want a bunny? Its all right she says, it just keeps duffing over the other bunnies so she’s having to keep it segregated I’ve told her there will be trouble form the bunnies union, they will be marching up and down, or in bunnies case hopping up and down with banners saying equal rights for bunnies, no preferential treatment

As we both said this is wonderful and thank you for the huge smile. And Krissy says thanks for making her laugh so much. She’ll forgive you the bruises from falling on the floor.

well for all my going back into the pages 30 days 200 posts per page, I missed this one...but I'm glad it got booted back up...
sounds like a great job but you gotta watch the people; I'm security at WalMart...I had a guy the other day find the biggest tree in the parking lot at WalMart and he whipped it right out right there and proceeded to urinate! When I asked him why he was peeing on the tree, he said his dog got to the hydrant first.

I cannot believe I didn't post this reply earlier.... read this one a couple days ago.... I almost fell off my chair laughing.... and I sent it to my son with the note attached that this is what you will probably be doing if you insist on getting a job at a pet store (just to be around the reptiles that I won't allow him to own) He is 12... I thoroughly enjoyed this poem. {{{laughing again, tears in eyes and ribcage hurts}}}
