This is actually a picture of my back garden * * * * * Step inside my heart And look deep inside my soul I'm just a shadow of myself For love has taken its toll I once bloomed like a flower In a garden filled with love You were the reason for my happiness You helped to lift me high above Long ago I felt invincible My days were always bright But now there are only memories To keep me warm at night You put me high upon a pedestal And told me that I was the one I never entertained the notion You'd deprive my days of sun The cold winds now envelop me As I seek shelter from the storm The arms that once embraced me No longer keep me warm One day I'll find a rainbow And all the colors will return But for now I'll keep a vigil As my love for you still burns I am in motion |

I felt your words on this one, as though I could've written this myself, but not as nicely as you did. Hugs to you my friend. |

Oh Sue, I knew I would just love this the moment I saw the title. I think so many of us have been there. And I do love that garden of yours. When can I come for tea? Hugs my friend... "Even if life is full of thorns, |

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this one and I forgot to mention that you're all invited for afternoon tea. I'll just go and put the coffee on and make a cake! Take care....Sue I am in motion |

Oh Sue, The garden is lovely. The poem is very sad. So, when I come to tea, (you did invite) we'll sit and talk and pour our hearts out to each other and then we'll feel better. Loved the poem by the way, I like my tea cold with a bit of mint. The White Rose~ |
