How do you react when the chemistry is gone as quickly as your love began just like the burning spark that started the flame igniting your heart Do you try and shelter it keeping it alive in vain or do you give in and let it die right there as it gets soaked from her dreary tears as depressing drops of rain FALL and end just knowing that it'll never burn again How do you feel when you rush into the torrents of emotion getting high on Love's illusion Today she's all dressed up tassled with attention as apparent as your wanton lust so you crave your precious drug of need taking hits of infatuation So do you try and break the silence that remains steadfast with repeated lines of empty conversation or do you squirm emphatically with no escape from your current situation your eyes avoiding hers but your bodies stuck together in that tiny little place when the chemistry is gone How awkward can that be when a couple is reduced into "Lets just be..." FRIENDS: are those who can be comfortable in the midst of one another and in your heart you'll always know it will never be the same as love crushes your sacred memories together like stabbing thorns upon your beating heart while you think of those "special songs" with her So you made a CD... and now each and every note reminds you of sometime happy but HERE YOU ARE and YOU are NOT when the chemistry is gone If you knew that "Breaking up" was as inevitable as death and your "Game Over" was just around the pillowcase would you arise from the bed where you laid with her realizing the connection is unmendable Its funny how you wish at that very moment it wouldn't end right then or in the car ride home on a sunny afternoon but rather be as perfect as it was before and yet the chemistry is gone So do you move on or dawdle in despair Do you think that you will see her face again or will you even give a damn Pondering your next move on the chessboard of your life right there upon the painful moment ideas and insecurities afire when you both realize its no longer the same when the chemistry is gone! -Ryan |

Ryan, a very powerful write...No, it surely is not the same when that chemistry is missing from the relationship...and a very painful moment of life it can be... and is... |
