The Balcony the balcony would be empty, but for me and a rising sun it is that hour each morning when I watch, when I feel, liquid shine pouring slowly into all those dark spaces where alone hides it is that hour each morning when I miss feeling warmth next to me, when I miss that last touch of night and that first touch of day, when I miss knowing there is one who will understand my every meaning with a single glance, when I miss loving sometimes, I almost believe it doesn't matter at all most times, I know it is all that truly matters |

This somehow soothes me as it reminds me of one of my favorite pleasures, relaxing on a balcony with a drink watching the sunrise or set. |

Sandpiper...First let me welcome you ! That was a great first post for you!! But this poem is UNCANNY!! I started one about 2:00 am this morning in almost the EXACT same way....Here is the way I started mine... EARLY DAWN But for me, my deck would be empty at such an ungodly hour. Reluctant to let go of the night, knowing that dawn is fast approaching. I had been sitting on the deck when this entered my mind. I would like to post mine if you have no objections to it.
