Letting Go My love, where have you gone? Why did you leave? Even though it has been years Since you were stolen away, It feels like yesterday When I kissed your lips that last time… How beautiful it was, Hearing the ocean cheer As the moonlight showered us in gold And the ground absorbed us. Time it seemed…stood still If just for a moment Two bodies…one heart Joined in the matrimony of fate; They say love is patient So lips we part, Fate took advantage And stole you away. To this spot I continue to return, Hoping and praying That the hands of time take pity And returns us our destiny Or grants us another moment. But alas, I grow impatient I must move on, It is time for you to seek me; I promise I will not be as hard to find; And as my footprints lead a path to recovery, The ocean cries, Then waves goodbye, As if knowing it would be the last time.
