An island became a nation the sugar crop was its station individual plantations grew into larger machinations prosperity hit a few sugar cane collected dew the crop: ways to pay for modern equipment nudged an island state into betterment fledgling state suffered crops became collectivized new state devised rapport manufacturer versus grower sugar mills..larger capacity yields grown efficiently hurricane winds caused crop losses...dearly yet the island became a nation learned not to wait at a by-station |

Interesting and different subject in this poem. It needs to be read more. Muchly enjoyed. Distance is the prison for our bodies, but no prison could weaken our passion. |
