Rhyming...at a Finer Diner
By Larry Chadwick

It was a simple and pleasant meal,
Yet cause for my little brother’s consternation.
We were simply sharing the food,
When he was troubled by the conversation.

Mom was serving burgers for supper,
And Dad said, “Pass me a bun, son.”
Complying, he immediately fell silent,
Not partaking, it appeared he might be done.

But finally the light came on in him,
And he appeared to be quite happy.
Waiting for the time to be just right,
He proudly said, “Please pass me a paddy, daddy!”

Larry darling boy this is delightful and delicious and d’lovely, utterly utterly perfect poetry, a slice of life displayed in it’s reality and it’s wonderful.

I love it love it love it utterly.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Noah,
It was a memorable moment indeed. Brought such humor to a quiet table.

Thanks. I find myself searching for those these days.
