Just one moment, one second behind Running a race within my mind Reaching for something pulled away Like a mule for a carrot, a horse for hay. Out of time, out of phaze Running forward toward the haze Reaching into the blurred vision Hoping to catch what remains hidden. Define it? No, I don't think I can I believe its a search for every man. We run our race, we chase our bird We bind our own feet with every word. We chase our ghosts, pursue our peace Like Jason for the Golden Fleece. Where does this race lead us to? Where is the end? What to do? Keep on running, keep reaching toward Our goal and keep moving forward. Even if I never find, The peace I seek for my mind, I know I'll pursue til my day is gone And restless night passes into dawn I'll run my race, pursue it in awe Grasping endlessly for that straw. Chivalry is not dead. I saw it coughing up lung butter last night, but it was still alive. I think it has parvo. |

I don't leave anyone out...but then I've never BEEN a woman and don't actually intend to try, so therefore this is written from a man's perspective. As for the race, you are hardly a rat, mistress D. |
