I can’t believe you’re leaving… But I guess I should have known… That people such as you and I- Are doomed to run alone. We’re frightened of proximity… Emotions bring on fear- And if we love, it’s from afar… We dare not draw too near. We dream of precious moments- Spent in each other’s arms. You tell me how you love me, As I describe your charms… And I suppose we’re lovers… In a tragic distant way… But sadly we can’t show it… Now you have to go away. I’ll love you, as I’m driving- And every single night… I’ll think about you, darling- I will long to hold you tight. No matter where you travel- I know that you shall find… That I will be there with you, And always on your mind. |
