Divorce Decree
   Written In Blood

So it still hurts sometimes does it!!!
Well what are you gonna do???
Just think...
The amount you hurt.
They must have hurt
much more than you.

What father wants to
lose his three sons
and in their place
hold broken hearted memories
until the day his life is done?

Thinking someday they'll share
their thoughts concerning this tragedy.
Maybe, just maybe someday they will
find the place within their hearts
to tell me that they forgive me.

Does any father want to leave
his sons this legacy!!!
All he has to say for himself is he
was not there when they needed him.
He lost his family to words written
in blood in a divorce degree.

Powerful!
Powerfully sad!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

James,
I worry about the source of this inspiration. Having gone through a divorce with children it always breaks my heart. Never could enjoy "Mrs. Doubtfire" as I understood the source of such desperation. Walked out of the theater four times and finally didn't go back.

Hope all is well. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry this was written with fresh thoughts from a divorce that occured over ten years ago...a divorce I still regret today and could have avoided if I had been more cooperative with my ex-wife...my relationship with my sons is still jaded by the effects of this divorce...James
