I am sorry
That at times I don’t talk very well.
That there are days when I am quiet
And I don’t say much.

I never mean to behave that way.
I do love you,  I always have and will.
I just sometimes don’t say it well.
Forgive me..

I see your feelings,   I sense your mood.
I know when your day has been good or not.
I only have to look at your eyes to tell.
Beautifully blue and so sparkling when
You cry tears watching a sad program.

You draw me closer to you when you cry.
I want so desperately to comfort you and hold you.
To feel the warmth and love of you that
Lies there just beneath the surface.
To feel your heart against my palm.
To wipe away a soft tear.

Forgive me when I sometimes think I don’t love
You very much at a given moment.  For I don’t
Ever feel this very long….And each time,
Each time….I cling even harder to you.
I don’t want to ever lose you from my life.
You are a gift to me,  that I must always keep.

I want to...I need to...I will

Always.....

This is lovely Barry. It is so open and giving of what is inside of you. Thank you for this look into the way you love. I enjoyed it very much

Oh Barry,..what a wonderful declaration of your love and devotion.
Yes, men do have lapses at times and some women perhaps
are not too sure just how much they are loved...
But this poet sir...says it all!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Barry, I understand how you feel, sometimes everyone needs some time to think to themselves but a love truly never dies and we don't do it to neglect those we love but only know how we can help! (sigh) This is excellent and sensitive, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Heart on sleeve and it looks quite well on you.  I am thinking I could have used this one a few years ago to remind me to do just the same.  Maybe I should just print it and frame it and hope to be able to need it again one day.LOL  Very wonderful work you present us with today and I truely enjoyed it and appreciated it's content.

WhiteRose...you are seeing through my words
a part of me that is real and something I
have to remind myself of from time to time,
as well as tell this lady that I do care
about her and love her....

Nancy,  yep,  us men can be strange at times
and yes,  we do forget from time to time to
stroke our ladies the right way and tell them
that we do love them and care about them...

Sun,  NO promises,  just the answer that I
will try hard to do things right,  and if
I don't ....I will try again....

Noah,  such is the way of life and how life
is lived...

Lauren,  pleased that you enjoyed this...
good luck on your trip and your reunion.
I know this has many feelings coming out.
I wish you the best in this new part of
your life....

Mark,  Heart on sleeve?  Well, maybe a
few tears every now and then.  Yes,  I think
all of  us guys could use something like
this poem to remind us frequently of who is
important to us....and why....and that they
are appreciated for who they are,  not
what they are....
