Have to Admit



Not today
too much to do
I’ll not have the time
to be thinking of you

On the road
so many miles
I’ll not be tempted
to succumb to your wiles

Can not hear
the words you said
I’ll pay them no heed
the echoes in my head

Can not read
your note so kind
I’ll have to ignore
what races through my mind

Not today
will I succeed
I’ll have to admit
from you I’ll not be freed
