For S.E. When you’re miserable And overcome by tedium,-- Admire yourself in the mirror! Like a mermaid, You emerge from its medium Like a miracle! When you’re meandering In and out of the murky memory Where the mercury’s frozen at zero, Do no listen to the same old melody,-- Admire yourself in the mirror! When you’re serving the final minutes in The cell of your conscience for some misdemeanor The majority rules that you’re innocent,-- Admire yourself in the mirror! And when life seems morbid, Losing significance, And your fire burns into an ember,-- May the mirror reflect your magnificence And illumine the world with its splendor! Check out my poetry here: |

"When you’re serving the final minutes in The cell of your conscience for some misdemeanor The majority rules that you’re innocent,-- Admire yourself in the mirror!" I like this, very much! You show the heart of a loyal and loving friend in this...and I have to say, my last comment, I LOVE the metaphor in the above stanza. |

I understand your thought.....whenever we feel we are not...we should look into that mirror and see the real us....for inside that image is goodness and greatness...IF only we allow ourselves to understand... |
