No arms to hold me when I cry No lips to scold me when I lie No one to reach out when I sigh I guess that is the reason why I am no one's child No yielding of my heart in trust No forgiveness and I must be bad, to suffer father's lust Mem'ries cut like sculptured bust Because I'm no one's child No fond and joyful times for me No place for childhood do I see But pain and guilt and misery Are all full cups of bile to be For I am no one's child All my guilt and pain and sin Are evidenc'd in my suffering Now I find it hard to grin It seems as if I never win When I am no one's child Relationships have all gone bad Loving always makes me sad And they think that I've gone mad From the dark history I've had Being no one's child How much I want to grow and fly Reach the stars touch the sky Instead, remember days gone by When no one held me close to cry; That's why I'm no-one's child. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

I agree with Marge. *S* You've described so well feelings no child should ever know... and far too many do. Excellent work! |

Keth darling sister of my soul and keeper of my heart’s dream this is yet again such a sensitively and brilliantly well written poem. The harsh realities of some children’s lives in a place where life isn’t as valued as it should be. Thank you for showing the grittier and darker places there are, it can’t be easy to write like this. That you can shows what a diverse and well rounded writer you are, that you then manage to give the piece dignity and show compassion for the child proves you are more than just a writer. YOU are far above average beloved heart and this is exquisite writing. This rips at the soul but it is a subject that must be revealed in all its harsh and sorrowed reality Exquisite writing darling heart absolutely exquisite writing As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

(big huggsssssss) this is so very sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you but I know deep down with all my heart you are a child of someone so very special, Him, just as I know your loved ones love you so much as you are like a sister to so many of us! (sigh) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Oh Kethry! This is so so sad. It just tears at my heart. Every little girl and boy should have someone to love them and comfort them. |

Not many poems reach me enough to water my eyes but this one did. Evidenced is the pain throughout this whole piece and the one hope......desire......dream...... How much I want to grow and fly Reach the stars touch the sky Showcased in all the turmoil. Don't lose sight of that. You WILL soar as soon the right sky of heart tiptoes over the horizon into your world. Beautifully sad write and very much taken by it's depth of impact. |

Here you go Kethry, use this on your poems that are so well written there is not a dry eye in the house, and by the way, this was truly an incredible poem. Nothing means more to me than faith, family and my friends. Sharon [This message has been edited by Mysteria (08-10-2002 06:07 AM).] |
