More About Love

Do not cry for a love that once was
  Celebrate having had it
Holding it, at least for awhile

Love is a shadow that lingers
  at the edge of your heart
Tickling you with moments of euphoria
  Love brings you to the edge and back again
It is an addiction that keeps you wanting more

If not for the expectation of love
  there would be no pain
It is in this demand that love will sting
It is in this desire that we are trapped
For love once tasted creates more thirst
  and it is in this expectation
that our refusal to let go leads us
  to heartache
