To see the words the pen displayed
before the eyes can see.
To feel how the expressions touch
the deepest part of me.

My words come from so deep within
the soul to touch the mind.
To touch the core of another,
These words, I try to find.

I wish to give, and leave with you
a piece of heart that beats.
A lonely drum of crimson hue
that knows it’s own defeats.

I write of love, of lonely hearts,
of time remembered when.
Of moments as a shadow parts.
Of now as well as then.

Take my feelings to each your breast
And let the wonder flow.
Within your soul, and beating chest
this part of me I show.

Though darkness covers earth
And hearts now sleep in rest.
I write of soul at birth,
from each of you I'm blessed.

Ok, so I tried!  I really tried! to find just the lines that spoke the loudest, the softest, the ones the hit the heart hardest, and I ended up not being able to choose just one...

for each stanza stands alone, but together, they make up the Community of Passions...

And you do it quite well ALWAYS.  I have read it before in here but I can't think of one that is as complete in thought and accurate in what draws us to our pens each day.  Beautifully portrayed and the following two verses sum it all up in the most complete of ways.........Excellent penning for sure.

I've felt your touch so tender
I've felt it in your words.
You are a poet with a gift
when read, romance is heard.

Another lovely poem. Thank you for the pictures this one brought to mind.

Magnus... You must have read my mind or stolen a glimpse into my heart, for this is exactly how I feel.

Magnus,

Ahhh....
My words come from so deep within
the soul to touch the mind
to touch the core of another
these words I try to find .......

I would say that you've found the words here.
Most assuredly you've touched those of us who have read this poem, in some way or another.

thanks,
Jason
