The end of September We are going to see grandma My last living grandparent She has not been in the best of health She has Pulmanary Fibrosis And doesn't have long to live She has lived 83 great years I used to write her But I got out of the habit Now I regret it But at least I get to see her One last time in September I will miss her But I remember All the good times Back in 1997 we took her To Niagra Falls, Canada for 2 nights I slept in a cot Next to her bed Now I know where my Dad inherited his snoring from I loved when she would come to Florida to visit It was a blast But when her lungs started to act up Those visits were long in the past I remember the gifts she got me But I was like Grandma you really didn't have to But I guess that was to show She loved me But when Grandma is gone She will be sorely missed By everybody In our family Cold hands means a warm heart |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Julie, this is soooooooo beautifully touching, sweet friend, I know how you feel and I know your grandma loves you so much always and is looking forward to you meeting her again just as even when the time comes when she goes to heaven her love will always guide you! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Well, look at the bright side - you still have me. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
