~Goodbye Is Not Forever~

He created you from his love
he was always there for you
on bright sunny days or through storms and rain
he fixed what was broken
and mended your pain

you are his joy
his son
his pride
but life moves fast
like time and tides

his final hour approaches
soon it will be time for you to part
but you will remain in his soul
and he will always be in your heart

but goodbye is not forever
part of him lives on in you
open your eyes and look around
and he'll be there
where you least expect
in the beauty of nature's sights and sounds
~

In all sincerity, Lyra and Larry...you are both often, for me...the heart and soul of this place.  Thanks, thoughts and prayers to you both.

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, I have not too much to say about right now because my thoughts are with Larry but this truly a beautifully heartfelt poem I just know Larry will cherish just as he will hold this wisdom true and know his love will always be in his golden heart! (BIG HUGGGSSSSSSS) You both are true angels to me, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much as I join you in sympathies to Larry and his family! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lyra,
Wisdom comes at great price. You have paid much to be so wise. Such love and encouragement is so touching to my aching heart. My Papa isn't gone but if he survives his quality of life, short of a miracle, will not be good. He has been my hero since I can remember and always will be.

(Duncan...such humbling words. Seldom am I speechless, but now

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

*Big Hugs* Lyra dear, I agree and feel with everything you said here, especially when it was expressed from a heartfelt experience.  Larry will be comforted to read this...I was too.  You sprinkle new hopes with your words of rainbow.

Lyra, how kind and loving this is. I am so sad, and starting to feel angry about all the misfortunes that seem to be occurring to our famiy here.
I think I will go cry for a while.

Lyra, you speak of the bond between father and son so well here that it reminds me of the one I had with my own father.  He's been gone many years now, but I still see him in my mirror, in my hands, in the many things about myself that I've become over the years, things that were a part of him.  Thank you for this and please know that Larry's dear dad is in my daily prayers.

Larry,  my heart is with you...I too have a
father who is getting up in his years,  not
able to do many things he used to....I can
only hope that when he goes,  that I am there to hold his hand....and that he goes
peacefully,  knowing he is loved....just as
your father surely knows about you...

Lyra,  thank you dear lady for all that you give
to each of us.....

Larry...
You are right. Wisdom does come with a steep price, and you too...have paid much too much for your wisdom; but please know that Ginger and your Papa will be together now and they will both always be with you.

Thanks so much, Barry...
My mother is 87.  She is in good health (probably better than I am) but she is very frail...and I worry about her all the time.
I feel as you do, I hope that I am there for her to hold her hand, but I may end up being on the other side to welcome her instead.

I am just so happy that both you and I are still here to enjoy this wonderful website and all of the wonderful friends we have made here...
and I sure hope that Larry or anyone else here doesn't have anymore tragedies.
