Amidst the clouded skies I stand the crossroads lay before me as I await the imminent storm I see approaching whose only intent is to tear my heart asunder Somehow I still try to find serenity within the tones of your violent winds but the tempest that your soul harbors brings forth echoes of unrelenting thunder It seems my docile emotions betray you do you not understand my driven aspirations I am foolish to your attempts at love but I feel love is what your desires for me lack Vampiress of the heart - Goddess of the darkness a succubus seducing me with your unholy aura as I collect pieces of my scattered dreams what is left of my willpower fades to black Obscuring the sun to harness your power you create all the deceptive shimmers far in the distance of my bleak horizon as they drift away from the lonely night You have extracted all of the radiance once plentifully existent within my life replacing it with obsessions of futile redemption you are the giver of grief - the stealer of light Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

umm...I wonder why this awesome piece of poetry is so far down the page. Here is a bump for you. I'm honored to read something so enjoyable. How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so. |

Why thank you Temptress, I rather enjoyed writing it, it is about a lady(if you can call her that) I dated a few years back that was a real psycho from hell. I am a really passive person, and she took advantage of that and made my life unbearable. The best thing I ever did was get the courage to leave her behind. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Damn.. this is at the bottom again? Not if I can help it. Its still awesome poetry. You may be passive, but your poetry doesn't seem to be. I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |

A very powerful piece, indeed...I would see more of this, it lends itself to a series, you know... |

Wow, powerful enough to begin a series, I have never thought about that before. Maybe if we throw together some ideas we could come up with something? Thanx a lot sunshine! Thanx a lot Dulcinea, the lady I wrote this about drove me to write such a powerful poem, she is a very manipulative person. I am glad you like it. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

I have experienced getting walked over from the "master" - so to speak. It made me a lot stronger and brought out a very different side of myself poetically. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

I agree Martie, I tried to make this piece as powerful as I could to get my point across to this person for whom I wrote it. I e-mailed it to her and she seemed to be flattered that I wrote a poem about her, oh well, at least it helped me to deal with my futute relationships better. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Thanx Vicky, it is powerful indeed, this lady that inspired me to write is a very powerfully mean person - so it was only fitting. By the way, I live in Glendale and just wonder which part of the valley you live in? Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |

Quite something indeed she was, the day she dared to bring up marriage and children, I turned and ran away as fast as I could! About he only time she wasn't yelling at me was when we were not within 50 feet of each other. Staring into the sun just makes you blind to what beauty actually exists in the sky. |
