She has a desire to breathe, again
backing her boldness
freedom, comes at the oddest exchange, what was that
conversion rate, again
and would you please stop speaking in Celsius
it’s so confusing

and speaking
of speaking
promise me, best that you can
we’ll talk like this
for as long
as we have stories

for as long
as we fill the silences
with a dream
a poem
a figment
a kiss

for as long as it is good
and I’ll promise you, best that I can

to love you
everyday

please don't change, please don't break
the only thing that seems to work at all is you

Duncan--

May I say this?
about that?

The romance
in your words
is very warm
and getting warmer
temperature
steadily rising

Takes the breath away
Leaving me speechless...

The exchange rate is quite easy
Two heartbeats equal love
Two dreams will equal one
As stars shine from above
Tell me all your stories
Then we’ll make some of our own
It’s in our dreams and promises
That seeds of love are sown
I hear you through the silence
The dream I share with you
The exchange rate is quite easy
Just one love shared by two

Yes..you do write like Rod McKuen...in a good way!
Wow...this is wonderful...
and forget the Celcius thing...
Usually they give it to you in both up here anyway.
You have been missed!!

Duncan

This is so natural and honest...just words flowing from a true feeling.  I like that!

umm..yes..DUH ME! I read this to someone wonderful last night, and he loved it too. Geesh...wonder where he is anyways. I loved this. I meant to reply to it last night, but I was a bit distracted by the mood it put me in whilst talking to my beloved.

Lovely writing, Duncan.

Duncan,
You dunked in your thumb and pulled out a plum. Great write.
