Marsha was the town's worst gossip,
Watching morals for the 'hood,
She spread the "word" to everyone,
If they were up to nothing good.

The "locals" weren't amused,
The way she gabbed about the neighbors,
But this didn't stop her talking,
Her spread of gossip never wavered.

Then she made a mistake,
And gabbed 'bout Balladeer,
He parked his car at the only bar,
And drank a single beer.

Marsha spread the word around,
That Balladeer'd become,
The drunkard of the town,
The gossip had begun.

Balladeer said nothing,
Was as silent as a mouse,
Parked his car in her front yard
All night at Marsha's house!

Toe,
Great moral to this poem! How unusual...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

And now sweet Marsha's reputation
Is victim of vile repudiation
No more can she talk and laugh and jeer
When everyone thinks she's shackin' with Deer!

I enjoyed this very much, Toe... *S*

Marsha now is real confused
She thinks that I'm a clock
She tells the town that I'm Big Ben
From the size of my big hands!

Too good, ToeRag.  There's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's...NOT BEING TALKED ABOUT.

Carry on...

The only thing bad about deer's car parked outside of Marsha's house is that she would have to queue to use her own bathroom.

Toe darling boy I love it me the gossip, you better believe it. I love this poem, I adore ‘Deer’s verse, you just know I have to reply to this don’t you darling heart? Hmmmm I surely do.

So I’ll pop off and write something stunning and good, admittedly it will not be as funny as this. tres manifique mon cheri, tu est formidable n’est pas I thought you’d like a little French (wink)

I love it utterly utterly utterly, and I’ll be back

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
